Wonderful Beans!
This is my first time buying vanilla beans. They are so expensive in the grocery so I wanted to try online ordering.Reading reviews, I saw so many complaints on every brand about the beans being lower than Grade A quality when Grade A is advertised. I did some basic research on differences between the grades and decided to buy Grade A due to my intended usage.I only purchased 25 beans incase they werent up to par as indicated in some reviews. I opened the pack right away to measure, smell, and feel these beans. All but 1 bean is 7" or longer. That 1 bean is only 5" and a bit dry but its also the 26th bean in the pack so nothing was lost on recieving it. All 25 of the remaing beans are plyable, slightly oily, and smell dreamy (even after resealing, I still smell the oil on my fingers). The only thing I cant compare is the thickness. As compared to the short, dry "26th" bean in the package, the other 25 are plump. In my opinion, these beans are definitely Grade A beans and I will definitely order this brand again.

These are wonderful, organic & high quality Madagascar vanilla beans. They came vacuum sealed for secure shipping and preservation. Once opened, the beans smelled amazing. They did not dry up completely like some others, I was still able to split them easily with a pairing knife. I cut mine in 1/2 and then split to make homemade vanilla. Very happy and will order again for next years batch.

Delightful, delicate scent from these B-grade, Tahitian beans. They are different from Madagascar kind, still very much vanilla, but without the heavy bourbony scent. They were vacuum-wrapped, plump, very nice beans. Fast delivery. Thank you! Made today, I cut the beans in half and split them down the middle before dropping them in the bottle to sit for 12 months to infinity. Retop the original vanilla beans with vodka as you use it up over the years to keep the cycle of extraction perpetual. Great present as it keeps on giving. (At the time of purchase, in May 2021, in Canada, these 25 vanilla beans made me seven-and-a-half 16-ounce bottles of vanilla extract for 150 dollars. If I had bought 7.5 bottles at Costco for almost $40 dollars a piece, it would have been 300 dollars, so it's a good savings to make your own. It cost: Vanilla beans, $49.99, two 1.75 litre bottles of vodka, $49.99 +49.99 = approx. $150 instead of 300. You might say, why on earth would anyone make this much vanilla extract? The truth is if you buy smaller quantities of beans and vodka in smaller sizes, half the amount costs you 33% more, and so it's better to just do this amount and basically never buy vanilla extract again. You can give a bottle to someone you love and save them the cost of vanilla extract in perpetuity, too. Vanilla beans are the bean seed pods from Orchids, which only flower one day per year and need to be carefully hand-pollenated, so it's great they can be reused because they so expensive. Also, my American friends can probably cut my total cost by another 3rd because American liquor is usually 1/3 to 1/2 less expensive that in Canada, ergo they can probably make this extract for 65%-75% savings rather than the Canadian 50% savings shown here.)
