Course: Dessert

Cuisine: American

Servings: servings (8-10 scones, a loaf or two of bread, 8 inch or 9 inch square pan of bars)

Add confectioners’ sugar and cinnamon (if using) to a medium small bowl. Whisk together until well mixed.
Add melted butter and just 1 tablespoon maple syrup and salt.
Begin whisking until the sugar dissolves. If the mixture is too thick, add more maple syrup as needed.
Whisk and adjust until you get a thick glaze that drizzles down slowly in ribbons, like thick honey.

Thickness tips: aim for a glaze thick enough that it doesn’t run everywhere, but not too thick that you have to spread it on your baked goods.
