Add vodka and pineapple juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously, until very chilled. Strain into a shot glass.
Holding the back of a spoon tilted over the shot glass, use the back of the spoon to slowly funnel grenadine into the cake shot. Go slowly to create a beautiful bottom layer of red grenadine. Garnish with maraschino cherries. Shoot and enjoy!
