How to Make Maple Glaze

It’s super simple and easy to make maple glaze. With just a few ingredients and almost no work at all, you’ll have the most delicious glaze.

Step One: If using cinnamon to make this recipe, start by whisking ground cinnamon and confectioners’ sugar in a medium small bowl. If not, simply place confectioners’ sugar in a bowl.

Step Two: Next, add melted butter, only 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and salt into the same bowl.

Step Four: You can add in more maple syrup if the glaze mixture is too thick.

Keep whisking until you get a thick glaze that falls from the whisk like thick honey.

  • Maple Bourbon Glaze: add a splash of bourbon to the mixing bowl for a special treat
  • Cinnamon Maple Glaze: add ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Make it Vegan: use dairy free butter and organic confectioners’ sugar

How Do I Know If The Glaze Is Thick Enough?

Here’s how you know if your maple glaze is thick enough: It doesn’t run and drip everywhere, but it’s not so thick that you have to spread it on your baked goods.
