Old Fashioned Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 23 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 oz whiskey (bourbon or rye)

Garnish

  • Orange slice and maraschino cherry
  • Or orange twist

Instructions

  1. Add sugar and angostura bitters to an old fashioned glass. Then, top with water. Stir until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  2. Add a large ice cube, then pour the whiskey over the ice.
  3. Using a stirring spoon, stir until well mixed and the whiskey is cold.
  4. Serve with an orange slice and maraschino cherry, or squeeze an orange twist between your thumb and index finger over the Old Fashioned, then use as garnish. Sip and enjoy!
