Simply Tasty Roasted Bell Peppers

If you’re wondering how long to roast bell peppers, how to roast bell peppers in the oven and more, I’ve got answers! Today, we’re making yummy, simple, and healthy roasted bell peppers!

You’ll love how easy and satisfying it is to roast bell peppers in the oven, cool them, and then enjoy them on salads, sandwiches, and even standalone!

Roasted Bell Peppers Ingredients

  • Bell peppers
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Just 4 ingredients are needed to make roasted bell peppers—even less if you choose to not season them.

I actually like to add in a bit of dried oregano for a herby kick, and dried pepper flakes for some spice.

What are Roasted Bell Peppers?

Roasted bell peppers are a simple and easy recipe that includes slicing bell peppers and roasting them in the oven.

The result? A deepened, richer flavor of bell peppers that are enhanced with softened, roasted goodness!

Now, you’ll learn how to make roasted bell peppers that you can put in anything: sandwiches, pasta, and so much more!

How to Roast Bell Peppers (How to Oven Roast Bell Peppers)

Learn how to roast bell peppers – in the oven!

As always, preheat the oven first! Set the oven to 450°F, then line a baking sheet with lightly greased foil.

Next, wash and trim bell peppers, removing the seeds and stems. I like to cut nice, wide strips for big, juicy roasted bell peppers.

Then, add bell pepper strips into a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil. You can skip the next part if you don’t want seasoning.

Once coated in oil, sprinkle with optional seasonings such as salt, pepper, dried oregano, and pepper flakes.

Pour prepared bell peppers onto the lined baking sheet.

Spread bell peppers into an even layer, with a bit of space between each piece for evenly roasted bell peppers.

Roast bell peppers for about 30 minutes in the oven, until tender and a bit deliciously charred.

  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper, or more to taste

Optional

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

These look absolutely delicious. I love the depth of flavor that roasting gives to vegetables, and there’s so much you can do with them. I already have several ideas for these peppers.
