Crunchy, crisp, refreshing and delicious – the best Asian Salad with homemade sesame ginger Asian Dressing topped with honey roasted peanuts and wonton strips!

- 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or neutral cooking oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, or to taste
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon less sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1–2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Asian Salad Ingredients
- ½ head Napa cabbage, sliced into 1/4” strips
- ¼ head red cabbage, sliced into 1/4” strips
- 1 large carrot, shredded
- ½ cup fresh cilantro, destemmed and roughly chopped
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1 ¼ cups edamame – shelled, cooked, and cooled
Salad Topping
- ½ – 1 cup fried wonton strips, depending on your crunch preference – I used 1 cup
- ¼ cup honey roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Add all Dressing ingredients to a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well incorporated. Seal and store in the refrigerator until needed.
- Wash, dry, and prepare all Salad Ingredients. Add to a large bowl.
- Top with wonton strips, peanuts and green onions.
- Drizzle Asian Salad Dressing over the salad, to taste. Toss to combine. Serve and enjoy!
