Halloween Chocolate Bark Ingredients
With 3 basic ingredients, this Halloween bark candy recipe, is simple and easy to make! Easily customize this recipe to your liking with my suggestions.
- Chocolate chips or candy melts: use your favorite chocolate chips or candy melts, which are specifically made for melting in recipes. Feel free to use white chocolate or dark chocolate!
- Salty toppings: Mini pretzels are a fave, but feel free to add in crushed potato chips, salted peanuts, and more!
- Sweet toppings: I used candy corn, Halloween M&M’s and Halloween sprinkles. You can add in mini peanut butter cups, gummy eyeballs, and whatever else you’d like.
How to Make Halloween Bark
Halloween chocolate bark is super easy to make, simply melt chocolate and coconut oil together, use an angled spatula to easily spread on a lined baking sheet, and top with your favorite Halloween toppings! I’ve done a tasty salty ‘n sweet combo of crunchy pretzels, sweet candy corn, and super cute googly eyes.
Issues with Melting the Chocolate?
- Try adding in coconut oil. It creates a smoother, move even melt.
- Stir in between heating increments in the microwave, spreading the melted bits and coconut oil around.
- Or, try adding in a little peanut butter—a few teaspoons will do. It’s a great alternative for helping to melt the chocolate smoothly.
Tools You Need
- Googly eyes – an essential ingredient in making Halloween chocolate bark extra spooky.
- Gummy eyeballs – a little creepy, a lot yummy… 👀
- Angled spatula – for an easier time spreading the chocolate!
Halloween Desserts Tip 💡
You can simply add googly eyes to almost any treat to make it Halloween-ready. Try adding them to chocolate cupcakes, Oreo fluff or pumpkin fluff, ultimate monster cookies, and heavenly cannoli dip!
