Roasted Bell Peppers Ingredients

  • Bell peppers
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Just 4 ingredients are needed to make roasted bell peppers—even less if you choose to not season them.

I actually like to add in a bit of dried oregano for a herby kick, and dried pepper flakes for some spice. Or, if the mood strikes, a dash of this homemade Cajun seasoning recipe.

What are Roasted Bell Peppers?

Roasted bell peppers are a simple and easy recipe that includes slicing bell peppers and roasting them in the oven.

The result? A deepened, richer flavor of bell peppers that are enhanced with softened, roasted goodness!

Now, you’ll learn how to make roasted bell peppers that you can pair with just about anything. I’m a big fan of putting them in sandwiches, while Erik prefers to add them to pastas. They also go well as a side to this watermelon steak. Or, you could match them with some homemade homemade bruschetta. The possibilities are endless!

How to Roast Bell Peppers (How to Oven Roast Bell Peppers)

As always, preheat the oven first! Set the oven to 450°F, then line a baking sheet with lightly greased foil.

Next, wash and trim bell peppers, removing the seeds and stems. I like to cut nice, wide strips for big, juicy roasted bell peppers.

Then, add bell pepper strips into a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil. You can skip the next part if you don’t want seasoning.

Pour prepared bell peppers onto the lined baking sheet.
