  • First, follow this roasted garlic recipe. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • While garlic is cooling, slice a loaf of bread down the center to create two flatter sides, like you’re preparing a sub. Place bread halves side by side on a large, rimmed baking sheet.
  • Once roasted garlic is cooled, slice off the top of the papery head. Retrieve the roasted garlic cloves from the head and add to a medium bowl.
  • Using a pastry cutter, mash garlic, butter, and garlic salt together in a small bowl until well mixed. Spread all of this garlic butter over the bread in an even layer.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes (shorter for softer bread, longer for crispier bread).1
  • Once cool, slice. Top with parsley and serve. Optionally, sprinkle with grated parmesan and more garlic salt for a special treat.
