The only Taco Dip you’ll ever need—a thick layer of taco seasoned cream cheese & sour cream topped with crisp lettuce, diced tomatoes, olives, spicy jalapeños and cheddar cheese. Like the best taco in dip form!

- 16 oz sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened*
- 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning or one 1 oz store-bought packet
- 1 1/2 cups chopped lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers or sliced jalapeños (recommended), reserve 2T for garnish
- 1/3 cup sliced olives, reserve 2 T for topping
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Guacamole, sour cream, corn – optional toppings
Serve With…
- Yellow corn tortilla chips or baked tortilla chips
- Mushroom quesadillas or perfect cheese quesadillas
Instructions
- Make sure to soften cream cheese before beating—this will make the mixture smooth faster.*
- Using an electric mixer, combine sour cream or Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and homemade taco seasoning. Mix until well blended and creamy.
- Transfer this mixture into a 9- to 10-inch pie dish. Spread into an even layer.
- Top with lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers or jalapeños, olives, and cheese. You can reserve about 2 tablespoons of some toppings to sprinkle over the cheese to make it pretty.
- Serve taco dip immediately with baked tortilla chips or yellow corn chips. Or, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
*Tip: To quickly soften cream cheese, microwaved unwrapped cream cheese for 10 seconds, or until just softened. Read the post for more tips.
Serve taco dip with pineapple salsa or black bean and corn salsa and crispy cheese quesadillas or flavorful mushroom quesadillas.
