I love making DIY seasonings for three reasons: 1) you can pick and choose how much of each herb you add in, 2) you get to make sure all the ingredients are fresh and aromatic, 3) the pride you get from making something! This garlic and herb seasoning is one of my favorites to make, along with Cajun seasoning and Italian seasoning. Soon, you’ll be putting it on everything from veggies and chicken to pasta and potatoes!

What is Garlic and Herb Seasoning?

Garlic and herb seasoning is a spice mix that consists of a base of garlic powder with other herbs such as dried parsley, oregano, and basil. It is used to season meat and vegetables, as well as being used as a condiment.

What is in Garlic and Herb Seasoning?

Herb and garlic seasoning is made with a combination of herbs that yields aromatic flavor. Here are the simple ingredients:

  • Garlic powder
  • Dried parsley
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried basil
  • Onion powder
  • Salt & pepper

How to Make Garlic and Herb Seasoning

  1. Whisk together dried parsley, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Store garlic and herb seasoning in an airtight container. Enjoy!

Just like pumpkin pie spice, garlic and herb seasoning should be stored in an airtight container. It can keep for 1-3 months in a cool, dark place like a pantry.
