Garlic Butter Sauce Ingredients
The ingredients to make garlic butter sauce are so simple it’s kind of hard to believe. But something truly so delicious is possible with so few steps and ingredients!
- Butter – unsalted is best so you can set the just-right amount of salt for you. But if all you have is salted butter, you may not need to add any additional salt.
- Garlic
- Lemon Juice – use freshly-squeezed for the best flavor of garlic and butter sauce
- Salt and Pepper
- Parsley – fresh parsley is a beautiful touch, but if you don’t have it, you can skip it.
How to Make Garlic Butter Sauce
How do you make garlic butter sauce, anyway? Well, it takes just a few easy steps.
First, melt the butter in a small skillet, or in a microwave.
Second, stir in garlic and lemon juice.
Third, add salt and pepper to your personal taste.
Lastly, remove from heat and stir in parsley. That’s truly it!
What to Serve with Garlic Butter Sauce

- 8 tablespoons butter, unsalted (if using salted, adjust salt to taste)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste – I started with 1/8 teaspoon each
- 1–2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Melt butter in the microwave or in a small skillet over medium heat.
- Stir in garlic and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in parsley before serving. Enjoy!
