  • Shrimp – use raw, jumbo shrimp that’s been pre-peeled and deveined to speed this recipe up
  • Pasta – we love making shrimp alfredo linguine pasta, but you can make it with penne pasta, rigatoni, angel hair, spaghetti—whatever you like!

Shrimp Alfredo with sauce in a jar ingredients - heavy cream, jumbo raw shrimp, fettuccine, penne pasta or linguine, Parmesan cheese, garlic, butter, garlic powder, olive oil, and Italian seasoning.

How to Make Shrimp Alfredo

  1. In a large pasta pot, cook pasta according to package directions in salted water. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain pasta.
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add shrimp, salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp is pink, about 3 minutes, then transfer shrimp to a plate.
  3. Bring the same pan to medium heat, swirling 1/4 cup butter to melt and coat the pan. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add in heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, nutmeg (the secret ingredient!) and black pepper. Increase heat to medium high and stir ingredients together until well mixed. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium.
  5. Gradually stir in Parmesan, cooking until thickened. Stir in shrimp and add pasta water as needed to thin out sauce. Add in pasta and toss. Serve easy shrimp Alfredo with parmesan, parsley and black pepper. Enjoy!
