Back when we were living in Boston, Erik and I decided to go keto. Oh my goodness, that was one of the patchiest times, diet-wise, that we’ve ever gone through.

I mean, no one’s got time for complicated homemade snack-making, ya know?

So in between downing Koia keto shakes, snacking on all the avocados and brazil nuts, questioning whether or not we absolutely had to do keto and IF at the same damn time, we decided it was time for our old favorite: energy balls! But this time, they’d be keto balls.

How to Make Chocolate Keto Peanut Butter Balls

Making these chocolate keto peanut butter balls is super easy! Just follow the 3 easy steps below:

Line

Line a baking sheet or even a plate with parchment paper. Set it aside for later.

Mix

Add all chocolate keto peanut butter balls ingredients to a medium mixing bowl: peanut butter, keto honey, coconut flour and raw cacao powder. Just stir and fold together until thickened, like cookie dough. 

Scoop & Enjoy

Grab your favorite small or medium cookie scoop and scoop and drop keto balls onto the prepared baking sheet. Go ahead and roll each one in your palm until it’s smooth. Enjoy the best keto balls ever!

Room Temperature or Refrigerator

Tuck your keto balls into an airtight container and place them in the fridge or on the counter for 1-2 weeks. If your keto balls are too soft the first day, don’t worry because they’ll firm up by tomorrow. 

Freezer

Otherwise, you can store your keto peanut butter balls in a freezer-friendly container in the freezer. Bonus: in the freezer, you can keep them for 1-2 months. No need to thaw your bites, unless you like them on the softer end.

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, add peanut butter, keto honey, coconut flour and raw cacao powder. Using a rubber spatula, fold until well incorporated and thickened, like cookie dough.
  3. Using a small or medium cookie scoop, scoop and drop peanut butter balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced evenly apart. Optionally, roll into smooth spheres. Enjoy! Storing instructions below.
