Strawberry Protein Shake Recipe: this easy vegan protein shake recipe is smooth, creamy & packed with strawberries! Healthy, High-Protein, Dairy-Free. 5 simple ingredients, totally guilt-free, dairy-free and packed with a whopping 24 grams of plant-based protein.

As far back as I can remember, my mom has always had a love for a good strawberry protein shake. Okay, let’s be honest, her strawberry protein shake was really what some might call a strawberry milkshake. And it was her favorite splurge after a long, loooong week of going to the gym.

But now that she’s older, working out even harder than before (my mom’s seriously amazing), and unfortunately, not allowed to partake in her former “strawberry protein shake,” I can happily share this healthy strawberry vegan protein shake recipe with her.

And this time, this strawberry protein shake is an actual strawberry protein shake. And not, you know, a strawberry milkshake. Or anything. 😉

Best of all? My mom’s the hugest fan of this treat and asks for it on the daily. (And I mean, she lives only 1,395 miles away from me. No biggie.)

My Everyday Strawberry Protein Shake Recipe

Following a largely plant-based diet, I sometimes struggle to get my protein intake in without having to eat all the tofu, lentils, quinoa and spirulina on this earth. And sometimes, let’s be real here, there’s no time to make all the things. So, I turn to one of my favorite everyday vegan protein shake recipes to remedy this:

Description

Strawberry Protein Shake Recipe: this easy vegan protein shake recipe is smooth, creamy & packed with strawberries! Healthy, High-Protein, Dairy-Free.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Strawberry Protein Shake

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (more below)
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 scoops of this vanilla vegan protein powder (adjust as needed if using another brand)
  • 1/2 tablespoon MCT oil
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes or more strawberries (for a stronger strawberry flavor)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk

Optional Boosters

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients in the order listed: 3/4 cup non-dairy milk, strawberries, vegan protein powder, MCT oil, ice cubes and ½ cup milk. This is the order that I’ve found to be smoothest, without any protein powder getting stuck in a clump anywhere.
  2. Depending on your daily nutritional requirements/needs, feel free to add maca powder, peanut flour, nut butter or more MCT oil.
  3. Close blender. Blend until smooth and no chunks remain. Enjoy immediately!

  1. I made one of these smoothies for breakfast yesterday and it was delicious! The perfect way to start the day!

  2. Hi Demeter,

We are definitely on the same page with this one….my fav. Love my Ninja blender and we also have the same preference in protein powder. I usually add a handful of fresh spinach (even though it makes it green) and some collagen. Can’t get healthier than that!

Hope you are enjoying your Minnesota home.

    1. Hi Bonnie! I love being on the same page. 🙂 So much yes on sneaking that fresh spinach in—you know I love sneaking those greens for a quick healthy boost. Thank you so much!! Hope you are doing well, staying safe and healthy. 🙂

  3. I love strawberry and this shake looks amazing. I’m going to grab some vanilla protein powder next time I go to the store so I can try this.

  4. What a delicious looking strawberry shake. It’s not quite strawberry season yet, but I’ll definitely be making this once the summer berry harvest hits the market.

  5. This sounds absolutely delicious and creamy – I love that it is so protein packed too!
