The Best Mango Pineapple Smoothie

One of my favorite things about the weather finally heating up is the chance to bust out the blender and make a mango pineapple smoothie!

Has the weather warmed up where you’re at? What’s your favorite thing to do once things start heating up?

For Erik and me, we like to get all of our “hot weather supplies” ready to go. This means blending up our favorite mango pineapple smoothie, dusting off the standing fans in the garage, and storing away our warmer clothes.

Goodbye hot drinks, hello cooling delights! Let’s make a pineapple mango smoothie!

Mango Pineapple Smoothie Ingredients

Here are the simple ingredients that are needed to make this refreshing treat!

  • Mangoes – feel free to use fresh or frozen mangoes.
  • Pineapple – make sure that your pineapple and mangoes are ripe before freezing, as this will affect the taste of your smoothie.
  • Milk – use whatever milk you’d like. Some of my favorites are oat milk or unsweetened vanilla almond milk. You can also swap some milk out with orange juice for sweetness.
  • Yogurt – I highly recommend using your favorite vanilla yogurt. The vanilla adds a lovely sweetness and mellow flavor that takes this mango pineapple smoothie to the next level.

How to Make a Mango Pineapple Smoothie

Making a mango pineapple smoothie is so simple and quick. The result is a thick but drinkable fruit smoothie that packed with tart and sweet flavor and healthy ingredients!

First, add all ingredients to a high speed blender. This includes: frozen mangoes, pineapples, milk, and yogurt.

Second, blend until all the ingredients are smooth and well mixed.

You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender.

Third, take a taste test and see if the sweetness is to your liking.

If not, add in a few drops of liquid stevia or liquid monkfruit. Then, blend the sweetener until it’s well mixed in.

Lastly, pour the into two smoothie glasses and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Pineapple Mango Smoothie

Here are a few of my favorite tips for making the best mango pineapple smoothie.

Feel free to adjust this recipe after you’ve tried it once—this will allow you to get a feel for the base recipe, then adjust it to your liking.

Adjust the amount of fruits in this pineapple mango smoothie to your liking.

If you like pineapple just a bit more than mangoes, then substitute some of the mangoes with more pineapple.

Frozen and fresh both work great.

I know, I know, most people gasp when I say this, but hear me out: frozen fruits are frozen at their peak ripeness and stay fresh until you’re ready to go. So, use fresh or frozen fruits to your convenience.

If using fresh fruits in your mango pineapple smoothie, go ripe or go home!

The riper the fruit, the more naturally sweet your smoothie will be. As such, you’ll want to make sure your mangoes are juicy, soft, and ripe, while your pineapple is sweet.

Freeze the fresh fruit first.

While you might be tempted to toss fresh fruit directly into your blender, it’s actually best to chill it in the freezer until solid.

This will make for the best, thick and frosty smoothie.

Use a good blender.

A really good blender will easily and thoroughly blend the fruits in your mango pineapple smoothie.

This means you won’t have obnoxious chunks of fruit blocking your straw—you know what I mean!

Amp up the sweetness without any guilt.

While fruits can be nicely sweet, they can also be a bit tart. When that happens, I like to add in a few drops of liquid stevia or liquid monkfruit to sweeten my smoothie.

You can also add honey or maple syrup to taste.
