Strawberry Peanut Butter Protein Shake Recipe
Strawberry Peanut Butter Protein Shake Recipe: this PB&J protein shake recipe is packed with 16 grams of protein! The best protein shake—4 ingredients, vegan, dairy-free, no added sugar & healthy!
Have you ever tried the combo of strawberries and peanut butter? Ages ago, when I used to live with my mom and my sister, Jenny, I’d wrack my brain for all the tasty ways to whip up a super easy protein shake that they’d all actually want to drink. Aka: not nasty.
Let’s just say that both my mom and Jenny were totally not into protein shakes, but could be “tricked” into drinking said protein shakes if they tasted more like the other kind of shakes—milkshakes, baby!
As I’ve mentioned on occasion, one of my mom’s favorite past “protein smoothies” were actually, in fact, strawberry milkshakes. A-hem. No shame tho! But now that her diet is much more restricted and she needs to work more plant-based recipes into her day, guess who she’s calling for that old recipe when we lived with Jenny? 😉
Strawberry Protein Shake + Peanut Butter Protein Shake in One!
This strawberry peanut butter protein shake is one of the tastiest quick & easy protein shake recipes ever! All it needs is a few ingredients, a quick whirl in the blender, and some snazzy glass straws. That’s right, glass straws!
Think of this protein shake recipe as simply: a strawberry protein shake + a peanut butter protein shake in one. You get the sweet, refreshing fruit vibes of strawberries while having that all balanced out by the satisfying nuttiness of creamy peanut butter. YUM.

Great Tools for the Best Strawberry Peanut Butter Protein Shake
- Glass Smoothie Straws – yep, glass straws! I’ve been using these for a few months now, and can safely say that they’re amazing! They’re beautiful, good for the ol’ environment, and not as breakable as one would think… lol! Let’s just say I’ve dropped and accidentally “attacked” a bowl with these and they were fine.
- Vegan Protein Powder – Erik and I went on the vegan protein powder odyssey. Oh my gosh did we. It was long-winded, a bit yucky and totally trying at times. Okay, it was really yucky. Here is what we found out in our Best Vegan Protein Powder journey. 🙂
- My Favorite Personal Blender – seriously the most amazing personal blender I’ve used. And I’ve used them all. Some are too flimsy and feel like they’re gonna fall apart during the first blend, others are a bit too fancy and have too many toggles. This one’s just right. (Yep, I’m feeling like goldilocks right now.) Don’t forget extra cups!
Ready to get your blend on? 😉 Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with me in the kitchen! I can’t wait to hear what you think. ‘Til the next kitchen adventure…
Sending you all my love and maybe even a dove, xo Demeter ❤️

Description
Strawberry Peanut Butter Protein Shake Recipe: this PB&J protein shake recipe is packed with 16 grams of protein! The best protein shake—4 ingredients, vegan, dairy-free, no added sugar & healthy!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (more below)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 scoops of this vanilla vegan protein powder (adjust as needed if using another brand)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted, natural creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
Instructions
- Add all ingredients in the order listed: 3/4 cup non-dairy milk, strawberries, vegan protein powder, peanut butter, and ½ cup milk. This is the order that I’ve found to be smoothest, without any protein powder getting stuck in a clump anywhere.
- Close blender. Blend until smooth and no chunks remain. Enjoy immediately.

This is the blender I use to make my smoothies. It’s easy, holds the perfect amount, and can be left to keep blending while I walk away (it runs by itself). Not sponsored, I just love this!
