Ingredients
- 1 lb russet potatoes (about 2-3 potatoes)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Optional Toppings
- Garlic salt, seasoning salt, or cajun seasoning
- Ground black pepper
- Parmesan
- Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Wash and scrub potatoes until clean. Slice into ¼-inch thick strips.
- Add potato strips into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle evenly with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt. Toss to coat, ensuring potatoes are well coated.
- Air fry in batches: Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Working in batches, arrange fries in a single layer with space in between each fry to allow crisping. Cook for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
- Place fries on a plate and repeat for the rest of the potatoes.
- Once all the fries are cooked, transfer all of them back into the air fryer for about 2 minutes to re-crisp and re-heat.
- Immediately sprinkle with more salt to taste. Also try with garlic salt, cajun seasoning, and seasoning salt. Serve with garlic aioli, barbecue sauce, and ketchup.
