This Air Fryer French Fries recipe has crisp edges, soft and tender insides for the best air fryer fries! Just 3 ingredients and 5 min of prep for guilt-free homemade French fries made with less oil and less calories than regular fries!

Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 lb russet potatoes (about 2-3 potatoes)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Optional Toppings

  • Garlic salt, seasoning salt, or cajun seasoning
  • Ground black pepper
  • Parmesan
  • Fresh chives or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes: Wash and scrub potatoes until clean. Slice into ¼-inch thick strips.
  2. Add potato strips into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle evenly with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt. Toss to coat, ensuring potatoes are well coated.
  3. Air fry in batches: Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Working in batches, arrange fries in a single layer with space in between each fry to allow crisping. Cook for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
  4. Place fries on a plate and repeat for the rest of the potatoes.
  5. Once all the fries are cooked, transfer all of them back into the air fryer for about 2 minutes to re-crisp and re-heat.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with more salt to taste. Also try with garlic salt, cajun seasoning, and seasoning salt. Serve with garlic aioli, barbecue sauce, and ketchup.
