What’s your favorite fruit? How about your favorite smoothie flavor? I love blueberries, strawberries and bananas (and like 10 other fruits.) What can I say? My mom absolutely loves, loves, loves fruits and don’t anyone tell her otherwise.

And don’t anyone tell her daughter otherwise. 😉

So today, I thought I’d feature one of my (and yours, hopefully) favorite fruits, blueberries, in one tasty and easy smoothie recipe.

Blueberries are wonderful because they’re full of antioxidants [1], low in calories [2] and nutrient-rich. Bonus, they’re good for your skin [3]. Nioooce!

How to Make a Blueberry Smoothie

It’s so easy to learn how to make a blueberry smoothie! Just follow the simple steps below:

Add Ingredients

Add all blueberry smoothie ingredients to a personal blender. This includes: frozen blueberries, milk and yogurt. Feel free to use your favorite milk and yogurt, and to use fresh blueberries that you’ve washed and frozen in advance. 😉 

Blend

Blend all the smoothie ingredients together until smooth.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup milk of choice*
  • 1/4 cup yogurt of choice**

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a personal blender: blueberries, milk and yogurt.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Enjoy!

*I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

**I’ve tried different kinds of non-dairy yogurt in this blueberry smoothie with success. Use your favorite yogurt as the flavor is very present in the smoothie. 🙂
