Easy Berry Smoothie Recipe
This quick & easy berry smoothie is ready in 5 minutes! refreshing, packed with antioxidants and delicious.
How was your Mother’s Day weekend? Did you do something extra special for the mom or dad or super special person in your life? 🙂
This past weekend, Erik and I did a nice facetime with my mom and the rest of the kiddos—Monica, Penny and Jenny. We were just glad to see my mom, put on all the Bitmoji animal heads to make her laugh, and just reconnect about everything.
In honor of my mom, we also did a little brunching and more than a little treat-making with this vegan gluten free blueberry crisp, these super yummy no bake chocolate coconut bars and my mom’s fave best moist chocolate chip banana bread. So today, I thought it’d be the perfect time to lighten things up a bit and blend up something a bit fresher, a bit lighter, and a lot more packed full of fruits…
Quick ‘n Easy Berry Smoothie Recipe
Have you tried my easy berry smoothie recipe yet? This recipe’s an oldie, but a goodie! I originally published this recipe as a Triple Berry Smoothie back in May of 2017, and now, just 3 years later, it’s my most popular smoothie recipe.
This quick & easy berry smoothie recipe is made with just 5 simple ingredients: bananas, almond milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk), strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Feel free to substitute in your favorite berries (I’m looking at you, blackberries!), or use more of the one you prefer.
How to Make a Dairy-Free Berry Smoothie
Making this dairy-free berry smoothie is super easy! Just add frozen bananas, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries into a personal blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Yes they are! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Amber.
Great recipe! Have been following your blog for a while. Love the pictures and the lovely posts before each recipe.
I had a question : does this smoothie work well only with frozen bananas n berries?
Won’t fresh ones yield the same result?
Thanks so much, Anu! 🙂 I really appreciate your kind words. <3 Frozen vs. non-frozen: I love starting with frozen bananas because basically I make "banana soft serve/ice cream" as the base. It's thick, sweet and creamy, like ice cream. But you can definitely start with non-frozen bananas, especially since there are 3 cups of frozen berries that will help chill the banana as you blend. Try both ways and see which you like better! 🙂
I remember so well those nice creams of your’s I drooled over! They were epic and while I cannot quite get down with Erik’s love for lime with berries in a smoothie – I’m so loving what you’ve got going on here! Berries + nanners are always a win for me – especially in smoothie form!
As for whipping up those Berry Lime Sublime’s and Razz Matazz’s into popsicle-form – I say heck yeah! And, am betting your version is way way better than the actual Berry Lime Sublime or Razz Matazz!
Happy Tuesday Demeter! xo
You have the best memory ever! 🙂 Lol on not getting down with Erik’s preferences. I mean, it’s not chocolate, right? Haha. Popsicle recipes to come! 🙂 Happy weekend, Shashi! xoxo
Yay for summer! I am so excited for the season and I say bring on ALL the frozen treats! I can see why your husband was hinting at this deliciousness…it’s just gorgeous! I love how thick and creamy it is, and easy, too. Just what I need to get going in the mornings, or for an afternoon snack! Love this, Demeter! Pinning this beauty. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
Aw yeah!! The more delicious frozen treats, the better! 🙂 Erik is always “subtly” hinting for treats. Lol. So glad you love this, Gayle! Wishing you an awesome week! 🙂
I am SO looking forward to summer, and I can’t wait to see all the summer treats you’re gonna make! LOL, don’t get me started on pumpkin season, I’m always eager to start way too early!
These triple berry smoothies look absolutely gorgeous, and so delicious! Hope you have an awesome week, Demeter! 🙂 xo
Oh yeah!! Summer’s the best! 🙂 I hope you just love all the treats I share. Pumpkin: I know, right? 😉 Thanks so much, Marsha! Have an awesome week! xoxo
I just love you + summer + recipes because they are always so PRETTYYYYYYY. Smoothies and nice cream are the best for that aren’t they–like you barely need colorful dishware/props because the food itself is always the most magical vibrant shades of fruity! Striped coordinating straws are definitely a must though. I’ve never tried this Sublime business or anything Matazz-y but Erik could actually be onto something with a hint of lime + berries. Tart made extra tart but in a very summer tropical kinda way. Anyways…you know how I love my sweet and extra sweet stuff, so straight up triple berry (and banana of course because smoothie) is perfect for me! I need to get to blending now and I’ll get back to you on the break part later haha. Happy monday. xoxo
D’awwww! <3 <3 Yes, totally!! Fruits are so amazing--just beautiful and perfect, all by themselves. 🙂 Coordinating straws: they're totally a must. Like the smoothie's accessories or something. Lol. Lime, tart, etc.: Erik will take it all! Lol. Happy blending! Oh, and happy Tuesday! xoxo
This is beautiful! I am not a fan of bananas in my smoothies but I generally replace them with cottage cheese with great results. I bet it would work perfect with this. I love love love me some berries!
Thank you so much, Patrick! 🙂 It’s always super fun to tinker with a recipe. 🙂 Enjoy!
Weeeell, you know spring is my favorite season, so I’m not trying to rush into summer. BUT I do have one VERY big plan (you know what it is, because BESTIES), so I AM excited for that! And I am SUPER excited to see all the frozen treats you whip up this summer, D! I’m a huge fan of tart treats, so YES BRING IT! 🙂 This smoothie is stunning, mi-lady! Plus I’m swooning over all the berries going on here! Healthy, delicious AND gorgeous!? SIGN ME UP! Pinned of course! Cheers! XOXOXOXOX
Haha. Me neither! Well, ish… It’s just that this spring has been so gloomy and chilly! It only just stopped snowing in Maine. Lol. Of course I know!! Because: BESTIES!!! 😉 <3 I'm gonna bring ALL the tart treats for ya! Thanks for being so sweet. Muah. xoxoxo
