Gingerbread Martini: Like Gingerbread Cookies in a Glass!

Cue the holiday music, string the twinkly lights, and grab your shiniest decorations, for we are making the best gingerbread martini! This dessert cocktail is creamy, sweet, indulgent, with just the right amount of kick for a well-balanced dessert cocktail that celebrates the yummy cookie flavors of the season!

Ingredients for the Best, Easy Gingerbread Martini Recipe

I had so much fun making this easy gingerbread martini recipe for you! I truly wanted to take the flavor to an exceptional gingerbread cookie level—in it, you’ll find notes of creamy vanilla, gingerbread yum, and even a splash of coffee to balance and brighten the sweetness.

  • Vanilla frosting – you can whip up your own homemade vanilla frosting, or buy it readymade.
  • Crushed gingerbread cookies or graham crackers – gingerbread cookies will make this gingerbread martini extra festive, but feel free to use graham crackers, as I did in these photos!

Gingerbread Martini Ingredients

  • Whipped cream vodka – vanilla vodka will do, but I highly, highly recommend whipped cream vodka. It’ll make this gingerbread martini *that* much creamier and delightfully sweet.
  • Coffee liqueur
  • Milk of choice – I like oatmilk, but you can use whichever milk you’d like. 😉
  • Vanilla ice cream – make sure to use slightly softened ice cream so it can incorporate smoothly into your creamy gingerbread martini.
  • Gingerbread syruphere’s where I get my gingerbread syrup.

What is a Gingerbread Martini?

A gingerbread martini is a festive dessert cocktail inspired by the flavors of gingerbread cookies: vanilla frosting, ginger, sweetness, spice ‘n everything nice.

This holiday season, we’re mixing up vodka, coffee liqueur, ice cream, and gingerbread to create a gingerbread martini that tastes like gingerbread cookies in a martini glass.

How to Make a Gingerbread Martini

Detailed instructions and precise ingredients are found in the recipe card near the bottom of the post.

The first step to learning how to make a gingerbread martini involves making the spectacular frosted gingerbread cookie rim.

First, fill a shallow, rimmed plate with vanilla frosting. Then, dip the rim of your martini glass in the frosting to coat.

Now, admire your work. 😉

Second, fill another shallow, rimmed plate with crushed gingerbread cookies or graham crackers.

Then, dip the frosted rim of your gingerbread martini glass into the crushed cookies.

Check out how beautiful (and obviously tasty) that frosted gingerbread cookie rim is!

Make the Gingerbread Martini

This part is super easy. Add all the ingredients for your gingerbread martini into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice.

Shake thoroughly until it’s frothy, about 20 seconds. The longer you shake, the more froth you’ll get.

Strain this gingerbread martini mixture into your frosted gingerbread cookie rimmed martini glass.

Finish your gingerbread martini with a mountain of whipped cream, a gingerbread cookie tucked into the whipped cream, and a dusting of ground cinnamon. Sip and enjoy!

Sweet and strong! Gingerbread cookies in a glass—the very best gingerbread martini that’s perfect for dessert and holiday festivities.

Ingredients

Scale

Tools Needed

Frosted Gingerbread Cookie Rim

  • Vanilla frosting
  • Crushed gingerbread cookies or graham crackers

Gingerbread Martini Ingredients

  • 2 oz whipped cream vodka or vanilla vodka (whipped cream recommended)
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz milk of choice – I like oatmilk
  • 2 oz vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 oz gingerbread syrup

Topping

  • Whipped cream
  • Gingerbread cookie
  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions

Make the Frosted Gingerbread Cookie Rim

  • Grab a small, shallow plate that will fit the entire rim of your martini glass. Fill the plate with vanilla frosting, concentrating on the edges to make a thick wheel of frosting.
  • Hold the martini glass upside down, by the stem, tipping it into the plate of frosting. Dip and twist to evenly coat the rim of the glass.
  • Fill a similar plate with crushed gingerbread cookies or graham crackers. Again, hold the martini glass upside down by the stem, dipping and twisting the frosted rim in the cookies until evenly coated.
  • Set aside for later.

Make the Gingerbread Martini

  • Add whipped cream vodka, coffee liqueur, milk, softened ice cream, and gingerbread syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake until very well mixed and frothy. You want to make sure the ice cream is very well incorporated and you get a nice froth on top of your martini.
  • Strain into cookie rimmed martini glass.
  • Top with whipped cream, a gingerbread cookie on the rim, and a pinch of cinnamon.
