Welcome to today’s fruit-delight: Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie!
The 4 Ingredients You Need
I love making smoothies that require only a few ingredients, and take just a few minutes to make. This strawberry blueberry smoothie is no exception!
You’ll love the small amount of ingredients and the big flavor.
How to Make a Strawberry And Blueberry Smoothie
This strawberry and blueberry smoothie is unbelievably easy to make!
Simply add all ingredients into a high-speed blender.
Blend until everything is well incorporated, scraping down the sides as you go.
Blend again until smooth. Serve in a smoothie glass and enjoy! That’s really it. 😉
Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie Substitution Notes
Sometimes, when I’m craving an ice cream-like treat, I’ll swap half of the strawberries for ½ a frozen banana.
Have you ever tried nice cream? Or banana ice cream? When a frozen banana is blended up, it creates this lovely, super creamy concoction.
I used unsweetened vanilla almondmilk to make my strawberry and blueberry smoothie—I love that it doesn’t add any sugars and is pretty low in calories when I don’t want something too heavy.
However, when I’m getting a bit hangry, I’ll use oatmilk instead. It’s about 120 calories a cup and so filling that I kind of feel like I’m enjoying the fill power of oatmeal with my smoothie. You can also use any other milk you like. 😉
You could do a blueberry takeover and swap out the strawberries altogether and go Full Blueberry Smoothie!
(And, of course, pair it with fresh-baked Banana Blueberry Muffins for a super blueberry treat.)
Or, you can go for a tart antioxidant mix by using a triple berry blend instead of just blueberries. A good one will have raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries.
I’m not a huge fan of the taste of straight-up plain yogurt, so I’ll usually do a vanilla flavored yogurt for a sweet creaminess. You can choose your favorite yogurt for this smoothie.
To spruce up your daily smoothie routine, you can make this strawberry blueberry smoothie with a dash of almond extract (about 1/8 to ¼ teaspoon), vanilla, or even peppermint!
If you’re feeling a bit spicy, try ¼ teaspoon of turmeric. Feel free to experiment and have fun!
Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie Additions
Lastly, you can add in some delicious ingredients for a spruced-up smoothie.
For example, add in 1-2 tablespoons nut butter. And then make some healthy peanut butter oatmeal cookies for a triple threat.
