BEST Gluten Free Granola – 4 ingredients & EASY!
This gluten free granola is so easy to make with just 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time. You’ll love the crunchy clusters, chewy oats, and adding in your favorite ingredients!
Gluten Free Granola
In my family, granola is not just a recipe or a healthy snack, it’s a movement. 😉
If we had any more discussions about granola, we might be invited to join the Granola League. Alright, there isn’t any such thing, but if there were, we’d be Top Level members.
The thing is, we love granola with big chunks, granola that’s low in calories and made with brown rice crisps (secret ingredient alert!!), and granola… that’s delightfully gluten free.
As luck would have it, we already have & LOVE this chunky granola, low calorie granola, and, most of all, this simple and easy gluten free granola.
But why is this gluten free granola so great? Well, I’m glad you (kinda) asked! This granola recipe is made with just 4 ingredients, prepared in only 5 minutes, and tastes delicious, with just the right amount of crispy clusters and chewy oats.
Best of all? This gluten free granola is super easy to customize and even easier to make! Just ask my fam. Ready to try it? Let’s make this!
Gluten Free Granola Ingredients
- Nuts – use any kind of nuts you’d like. My go-to is a mixture of pecans, almonds and walnuts.
- Oats – make sure to use gluten free rolled oats to keep this recipe gluten free.
- Almond Flour – finely ground, blanched almond flour works best.
- Pure Maple Syrup – side note: readers have used brown rice syrup, honey and more with success.
How to Make Gluten Free Granola
Today, I’m going to show you how to make gluten free granola in just a few easy steps. You’ll be shocked at how quickly it’ll be ready to go into the oven! Be sure to watch the video to see how it’s made, if you’re more of a video learner. 😉
Before you start preparing your ingredients, make sure to preheat the oven first. Set the oven to 325°F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
First, add all gluten free granola ingredients to a large mixing bowl. This includes: nuts, oats, almond flour, and maple syrup.
If you’d like, you can add ground cinnamon and salt. You can skip these two if you prefer the easier, 4 ingredient gluten free granola recipe.
The maple syrup is the true star of this gluten free granola recipe—it’s what holds all the ingredients together.
Second, grab a rubber spatula to stir and fold all the ingredients together. The maple syrup will create a sweet coating that helps to stick the granola ingredients together.
You’ll know that your gluten free granola mixture is ready when the maple syrup is well dispersed, and clusters form.
Third, pour this granola mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to spread it out into one even layer.
Then, use your spatula to nudge little pockets of empty space between the clusters—this will allow hot air to flow through during baking to create crispy, crunchy granola!
Fourth, bake the granola, then flip it, then bake it some more.
Lastly, cool, then enjoy the best ever gluten free granola recipe! Then, pat yourself on the back for making something–it never gets old, ya know? 🙂
That’s it! All you need are a few steps, some chill-time while the granola bakes and your favorite add-ins.

Is Granola Gluten Free?
You might be thinking to yourself, “Is all granola gluten free?” Or, “But, like, is granola gluten free, like at all?”
I’ve got the answers you’re looking for. Not all granola is gluten free. If you’re not sure, look for a gluten free certification on the label.
If you’re especially sensitive to gluten, make sure the company that’s making the granola takes measures to ensure a lack of cross-contamination with gluten.
For today’s gluten free granola recipe, you can rest assure that it’s gluten free—like the namesake implies. 😉
We’ll be using certified gluten free oats, so if you’re sensitive to oats even if they’re certified GF, try my paleo granola recipe, which is oat-free.
Gluten Free Granola: 5 Mins of Prep!
This gluten free granola recipe is my absolute favorite because it’s so easy to make! Prep time will take just minutes—5 to be exact (or less if you’re faster than me in the kitchen). You’ll be sliding that baking sheet full of vegan granola into the oven before you even know it. But for the days you don’t feel like baking, try my 3 Ingredient No Bake Peanut Butter Granola Bars.

4 Ingredient Gluten Free Granola (Vegan)
- Total Time: 35 minutes
- Yield: about 16 ¼-cup servings (approx. 4 cups) 1x
- Diet: Gluten Free
Description
Gluten Free Granola: this 4 ingredient vegan granola recipe is prep’d in 5 minutes. The best GF granola: crunchy clusters, healthy ingredients & great flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups nuts, roughly chopped (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- 1 cup gluten free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup finely ground, blanched almond flour*
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or greased foil. Set aside for later.
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Using a rubber spatula, fold until clusters form and mixture is well mixed.
- Pour onto the prepared baking sheet. Using the spatula, gently nudge granola into an even layer. Separate granola into small piles to create clusters. Make space between clusters to allow for air to flow through and crisp up the granola.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Using a heatproof spatula, gently flip granola, making sure to keep clusters intact. Bake for an additional 5-15 minutes, until edges are a deep golden brown and granola is just slightly soft. Mine took a total of 30 minutes. Granola will crisp up while cooling.
- Place baking sheet on a cooling rack. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes, or until completely cooled. Enjoy! Storing instructions below.

Love it, it’s a hit with hubby too. I skipped the cinnamon and salt. I used almonds and walnuts plus pumpkin seeds.
So glad the hubs enjoyed it, Carolyn! 🙂
Easy, delicious & officially a staple in my life. Followed recipe exactly without making clumps but that was on purpose. Loved it!
Wow that’s awesome! I’m so pleased that the granola has become such a reliable treat for you. 🙂
can I make this recipe with quinoa flakes instead of oats?
Hi Allison! I haven’t tried it myself so I can’t say for sure, but it might just work out. If you try it, I’d love to hear how it goes!
HI there, I did make it with the quinoa flakes instead of the oats and it tastes great! It is slightly more crumbly and crunchy, but that doesn’t bother me at all!
I make this recipe all the time and so does my brother now.
Wow that’s so awesome to hear! Really great to know that the quinoa flakes work, and how it affects the texture. And so cool that your brother makes it, too! 😊
I like this granola very much, and have made it multiple times. However, with my oven, I only bake it for a total of 20 to 22 minutes. Anytime I have baked it longer than that it has either burned or gotten overly brown. I also reduce the amount of almond flour.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the granola, Jacqueline. Yep, it’s so important to adjust for your own oven’s temperature, as every one is just a little different. 🙂
I love this recipe and I have made it several times! My husband loves to smell it baking and agrees that it tastes great…says he’d eat it if it weren’t for the nuts. 🙂
LOL now there’s just more for you to enjoy! 😂
In addition to chopped nuts, I add chopped ginger and chopped dried banana (not chips, just dried). I am addicted.
Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe!!
Ooh that sounds delish! So happy you’re enjoying the granola Debbie! 😊
I don’t know why I waited so long to make this granola. It turned out just fabulous.
Thank you for sharing the recipe. Lynn
I’m so glad that you gave it a go, and that it was a hit for you! Thank you for the kind comment Lynn. 🙂
I made this last week, & it is delicious 😋!!! I used organic raw honey instead of maple syrup.
Awesome! Love that you enjoyed it, and glad the honey worked for you. 🙂
I make this every other week! Excellent recipe!!
That’s amazing Rose! I’m so happy you’re enjoying it!
Hey there, Do you use salted or unsalted nuts in your recipe?
Been playing around with various granola recipes and they usually use raw unsalted nuts. if you only have salted ones on hand, use less or omit the added salt to make up for it .
Can I substitute coconut flour for almond flour??
I accidentally used coconut flour one batch and it didn’t work. The granola wouldn’t stick together and I ended up doubling the maple syrup and adding coconut oil to get the consistency even close. After baking, the coconut flour fell to the bottom of the jar.
I much prefer the version with almond flour.
Came across your recipe in a search for no oil granola. This was so delicious! Super easy to make and a huge hit with the family.
