This gluten free granola is so easy to make with just 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time. You’ll love the crunchy clusters, chewy oats, and adding in your favorite ingredients!
Gluten Free Granola
In my family, granola is not just a recipe or a healthy snack, it’s a movement. ๐
If we had any more discussions about granola, we might be invited to join the Granola League. Alright, there isn’t any such thing, but if there were, we’d be Top Level members.
The thing is, we love granola with big chunks, granola that’s low in calories and made with brown rice crisps (secret ingredient alert!!), and granola… that’s delightfully gluten free.
As luck would have it, we already have & LOVE this chunky granola, low calorie granola, and, most of all, this simple and easy gluten free granola.
But why is this gluten free granola so great? Well, I’m glad you (kinda) asked! This granola recipe is made with just 4 ingredients, prepared in only 5 minutes, and tastes delicious, with just the right amount of crispy clusters and chewy oats.
Best of all? This gluten free granola is super easy to customize and even easier to make! Just ask my fam. Ready to try it? Let’s make this!
Gluten Free Granola Ingredients
- Nuts – use any kind of nuts you’d like. My go-to is a mixture of pecans, almonds and walnuts.
- Oats – make sure to use gluten free rolled oats to keep this recipe gluten free.
- Almond Flour – finely ground, blanched almond flour works best.
- Pure Maple Syrup – side note: readers have used brown rice syrup, honey and more with success.
How to Make Gluten Free Granola
Today, I’m going to show you how to make gluten free granola in just a few easy steps. You’ll be shocked at how quickly it’ll be ready to go into the oven! Be sure to watch the video to see how it’s made, if you’re more of a video learner. ๐
Before you start preparing your ingredients, make sure to preheat the oven first. Set the oven to 325°F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
First, add all gluten free granola ingredients to a large mixing bowl. This includes: nuts, oats, almond flour, and maple syrup.
If you’d like, you can add ground cinnamon and salt. You can skip these two if you prefer the easier, 4 ingredient gluten free granola recipe.
The maple syrup is the true star of this gluten free granola recipe—it’s what holds all the ingredients together.
Second, grab a rubber spatula to stir and fold all the ingredients together. The maple syrup will create a sweet coating that helps to stick the granola ingredients together.
You’ll know that your gluten free granola mixture is ready when the maple syrup is well dispersed, and clusters form.
Third, pour this granola mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to spread it out into one even layer.
Then, use your spatula to nudge little pockets of empty space between the clusters—this will allow hot air to flow through during baking to create crispy, crunchy granola!
Fourth, bake the granola, then flip it, then bake it some more.
Lastly, cool, then enjoy the best ever gluten free granola recipe! Then, pat yourself on the back for making something–it never gets old, ya know? ๐
That’s it! All you need are a few steps, some chill-time while the granola bakes and your favorite add-ins.

Is Granola Gluten Free?
You might be thinking to yourself, “Is all granola gluten free?” Or, “But, like, is granola gluten free, like at all?”
I’ve got the answers you’re looking for. Not all granola is gluten free. If you’re not sure, look for a gluten free certification on the label.
If you’re especially sensitive to gluten, make sure the company that’s making the granola takes measures to ensure a lack of cross-contamination with gluten.
For today’s gluten free granola recipe, you can rest assure that it’s gluten free—like the namesake implies. ๐
We’ll be using certified gluten free oats, so if you’re sensitive to oats even if they’re certified GF, try my paleo granola recipe, which is oat-free.

4 Ingredient Gluten Free Granola (Vegan)
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups nuts, roughly chopped (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- 1 cup gluten free rolled oats
- ½ cup finely ground, blanched almond flour*
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
- ¼ teaspoon salt, optional
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or greased foil. Set aside for later.
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Using a rubber spatula, fold until clusters form and mixture is well mixed.
- Pour onto the prepared baking sheet. Using the spatula, gently nudge granola into an even layer. Separate granola into small piles to create clusters. Make space between clusters to allow for air to flow through and crisp up the granola.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Using a heatproof spatula, gently flip granola, making sure to keep clusters intact. Bake for an additional 5-15 minutes, until edges are a deep golden brown and granola is just slightly soft. Mine took a total of 30 minutes. Granola will crisp up while cooling.
- Place baking sheet on a cooling rack. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes, or until completely cooled. Enjoy! Storing instructions below.

Can I substitute coconut flour for almond flour??
I accidentally used coconut flour one batch and it didn’t work. The granola wouldn’t stick together and I ended up doubling the maple syrup and adding coconut oil to get the consistency even close. After baking, the coconut flour fell to the bottom of the jar.
I much prefer the version with almond flour.
